Well I naïvely thought writing a kids book would be easy. It's fewer words that's gotta be easy. But I think the words have to be a little bit more precise and thought about, because it’s gonna be read to little kids. consistency in writing is very important. I think you’ve got to show up every day, you gotta be getting words down on the page, even if your heart’s not in it. Even if you don't have any ideas, you’ve just gotta be putting stuff down on the page. And back from my script writing days a lot of people would refer to that as a vomit pass, which is pretty much a first draft. Get the words out there on the page, you get the idea out there. Because if you stop, you’ve stopped. Whereas if you’re being consistent in writing every day, you’re at least getting something, you've got something to work with. But if you're not getting anything down on the page you've got nothing to work with.

I’ve well and truly embarked on my monetising my journey project for this week. I've signed up for an Amazon associates account, which then allows me to place product links within my YouTube description and from there people can click on that to go buy something, and I get a percentage of the sale which is awesome. But another great thing is that if they click on the link say for a book and then they go on to buy a car, or a plane or something. Then I still get a percentage of that which is really cool. I don’t know if they have cars or planes on Amazon. Anyway, so the only problem is, I’ve got 100 vlogs, I don't really have, I don’t really mention many products. I mention a few books, Simon Sinek’s 4 Hour Work Week and... no, no, Tim Ferriss’ 4 Hour Work Week and Simon Sineks’ Start With Why. And hopefully, I've got 180 days to prove myself to sell something otherwise they are gonna take away my account. So this is going to be interesting to see if I can make it work.

When I first started my travelling cinema business 18 years ago I was doing all kinds of crazy things working in the dark to get my travelling cinema business off ground like building a giant movie screen out of my parents pergola.

First of all you’ll be able to share your passion with anyone in the world, just as long as they have an Internet connection.

And already after just two weeks I’m already having some really interesting conversations with you guys about your life experiences and really with all our collective experiences combined we’ll be able to hone and develop our skills much more than what we’d ever be able to do on our own.

The beauty is with documenting, is that it’s documenting, you’re not making stuff up so no matter what you're doing through the day if you can pick up the phone and talk to it then you are documenting your journey.

It's not as hard as it sounds. I mean I'm creating a blog, a vlog and a podcast all at the same time, and I'm doing that I'm using just my iPhone, I’m recording into Apple Clips which has a subtitle function which means that not only is it easier to read when people scrolling Instagram silently or Facebook it means that I can then insert those subtitles into my blog and also into my podcast show notes so I'm creating content all over the place

It's almost nighttime and I’m the natural light vlogger so I'm almost in trouble with my daily vlog getting too dark, with no lighting, anyway so another part of my ‘How’ while I’m on this ‘How’ thing is documenting my journey and I think the documenting processes really important. How do I help creators? how do I help storytellers? Get their work out to the world, which was in my ‘why’, part of my ‘why’ and this vlogcast is a big part of that. By documenting my journey and showing all the tips and tricks and hacks and all those kinds of things which are working in getting my career off the ground, hopefully those tips might be helpful for you as well, by kind of seeing my process, hopefully it’ll cut some time out when you're doing it because you’ll see what works.

It's a downer blog today, and I don't even know if there will be a blog tomorrow. I've been spending the weekend with my terminally ill dog, and I'm probably gonna have to put her down on Monday, and yeah, so what it's highlighted for me is that like - I didn't even know four days ago that she was sick, dogs are pretty good at hiding those things and yeah so I'm kind of thinking that you never really know when you gonna go. You don't know when you're gonna go, you don't know when your loved ones are gonna go and it's highlighted that you need to be spending your life doing what you want to do, not what other people want you to do.

I'm finally clawing my way out of Simon Sinek’s Golden Circle - That doesn’t really sound right - Anyway, so I'm on the outer rim of the circle - that still doesn’t sound right either, I'm, I'm at the last bit of the Golden Circle. I'm at the last section which is the ‘what’, what am I going to do? the tangible things that you can see, smell and Hold and all that, the real stuff, rather than the brain stuff, I'm not saying that the brain stuff isn’t real but the other stuff is the practical stuff, the stuff that you know, people know what they do. I don't really know what I do yet, but, I'm hoping to find what I do and the big thing is this vlogcast, the vlogcast being the vlog, the podcast and the blog and the value of that is going to be that hopefully I can help people as Well as helping myself at the same time in working out what tips and tricks and strategies work to getting fine tuned and focused in reaching your goals.

I have come up with a new thing, a new I don't know what you call it, a thing. It's called the - If This, Then That Schedule - which I can't pronounce very well because I have a problem saying things like this, that and then. So what it is, if your schedule is all over the place, if your time is all over the place, you wake up in the morning and you can't look in your diary go okay so that's how my day is gonna roll, my day is just gonna roll how it rolls and I've got a roll with it or suffer. So I think the if this that then - if this then that schedule which means that certain times a day, Like going for a jog, when my daughter sleeping, all those kinds of little times when I can get other work done, I know as soon as that time crops up, I know what I'm doing.

The biggest thing preventing me from executing, implementing, succeeding at my goals is all of the great content, videos, podcasts and all these kinds of things that I consume, that are there to help me and give me ideas. The only problem is that, you know, I get this high from all these great ideas coming into my noggin and I just think well if I just keep consuming more, and more, and more, I’ll just become brilliant. You can't become brilliant from just consuming, you’ve gotta execute as well. So I want to start a brand-new thing for me, might be cool for you was well, it's called the pause button on Podcasts, video, just stop it. You hear something great - awesome - that will work on your business or what you're trying to do. Just stop, go do it, execute on it straight away. Because you can always go back to the podcast or video but you cannot go back on yesterday or last week.
