A game of snowsnakes and history lesson in the parking lot of White Pines Collegiate & Vocational High School.

December brought us to Sault Ste. Marie and with the First Nation, Metis and Inuit students of White Pines Collegiate & Vocational High School. It was a fantastic day indoors and outdoors sharing our Indigenous Student Leadership Program. It was filled with Anishinaabe culture, songs, peer-to-peer mentoring, snowsnakes, snowshoeing wearing smoked tanned winter moccasins and hand made snowshoes.
